IGCSE Assessments and Grading System

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams intends to provide an in-depth analysis of a student’s current level of knowledge. There are two Cyclic Tests (CTs), followed by exams for the first semester, pre-board exams, then exams for the second semester, and finally the third Cyclic Test.

The IGCSE gives teachers the opportunity to personalize their students’ educational experiences through the use of assessments, which ensures that all students are able to make adequate academic progress.

The system tests  students in the months of May and June with the exception of the Hindi examination which takes place in November.

Exams are either oral or in writing, in addition to listening comprehension and course work.

IGCSE vs. ICSE Board
